About the directory4
What is AI for Clinics?
AI for Clinics is a free directory of U.S. healthcare startups, covering clinical AI, digital health, medtech and the software clinics run on. Each profile summarises what the company builds, who it serves and where it is based, plus its stage, funding and founders when those are publicly known. The site is operated by Clinsight.
Who is the directory for?
Clinic owners and practice managers comparing vendors, founders sizing up a market, investors and analysts tracking a vertical, and journalists looking for companies in a state or specialty. The directory is public, so you can browse, filter and share profiles without creating an account.
Is AI for Clinics free to use?
Yes. Browsing the directory, opening profiles and reading the blog and market research cost nothing and need no sign-in. Being listed is free as well, and the directory has no paid placements or sponsored rankings.
How do AI for Clinics, Clinsight and ClinAds relate?
Clinsight is the healthcare growth company that operates AI for Clinics. ClinAds is Clinsight's advertising practice and produces the market-research teardowns published here. The directory, blog and tools all live on this site under the AI for Clinics name.
Finding startups4
How do I find startups in my state?
Use the state filter on the homepage, or open Browse by state and pick a state. Each state page lists the startups whose headquarters is recorded there, with pagination for larger states such as California, New York and Texas. The URL is stable, so you can bookmark or share it.
How do I find startups in a specific healthcare vertical?
Open Browse by vertical and choose a category such as revenue cycle management, remote patient monitoring or healthcare AI. On the homepage you can combine a vertical with a state filter to narrow the list further, for example to one category of company in one state.
Why does a filter return companies I did not expect?
Filters match the categories and locations stored on each profile, and those come from how companies describe themselves publicly. A company whose product spans clinical and operational work can carry several categories. If a listing looks miscategorised, send us the profile URL and we will review it.
Can I use the directory in my own research?
Yes, with attribution. Every page is also available as Markdown when requested with an Accept: text/markdown header, and llms.txt lists the main sections for AI assistants. Treat profile data as a starting point and confirm critical details with the company itself.
Profile data5
Where does profile information come from?
Profiles are compiled from public sources: company websites, press releases, funding announcements, accelerator records and public founder profiles. When no reliable public source gives a value, the field is left off the profile rather than filled with a guess.
How accurate are funding and stage figures?
They reflect public announcements at the time a profile was indexed, so they can lag recent rounds. Figures that look implausible for the company's size are hidden instead of shown. Funding data is for research only and is not investment, valuation or financial advice.
Why is some information missing from a profile?
A field is left out when the company has not published a clear value or the sources disagree. Showing nothing is safer than showing something wrong, especially for regulatory status, funding and headcount. Companies can fill the gaps by sending a first-party source.
How often are profiles updated?
Profiles are refreshed when the directory is re-indexed, and new startups are added between updates. Fast-changing details such as team size, leadership and funding can still go out of date, so check the company's own website before relying on them.
Does a listing mean AI for Clinics endorses a company?
No. A profile summarises public claims; it does not independently certify product performance, clinical evidence, FDA status or security certifications. Ask a vendor for documentation of anything that matters to your decision before you buy.
Listings and corrections4
How do I add my startup to the directory?
Use the Talk to us link on this page and include your company name, website and a short description. Startups building for U.S. healthcare providers, payers or patients are in scope. There is no fee, and a submission outside that scope may not be listed.
How do I correct a profile?
Send the profile URL, the field that is wrong, the correct value and a first-party source, such as your website or a press release. Corrections backed by a source are applied in the next update. Changes to funding or regulatory status need a source to be accepted.
Can a company be removed from the directory?
Yes. Closed companies, duplicates and businesses outside the directory's scope are removed on request. Send the profile URL and the reason. Active startups can ask for removal too, though correcting the profile is usually the better option.
Does paying change how a startup is listed?
No. The directory has no paid placements, sponsored rankings or featured slots. Inclusion and ordering work the same way for every company, whether or not it works with Clinsight or ClinAds.
Tools and research4
What free tools does the site offer?
An ad compliance checker that flags phrases in healthcare ad copy that commonly cause rejections and board complaints and suggests a safer rewrite, and a review request kit with a QR poster and SMS and email templates for asking patients for reviews. The Tools page lists both.
What are the market-research teardowns?
Side-by-side analyses of how competing healthcare brands advertise and convert patients, such as two dental chains in the same city. ClinAds produces them, and they cover offers, landing pages and positioning for clinic marketers who want to see what their competitors run.
What does the blog cover?
Healthcare AI trends, startup funding, interviews and teardowns, and practical guides for clinics adopting new technology. Each article shows its author and publication date, and the blog index lists every post, newest first.
How can I contact the team?
Use the Talk to us link at the bottom of this page to book a call with the team. If your question is about a specific profile or article, include its URL so the team can find it quickly.
