Medical and dental systems were never built to talk to each other. Physicians can't send referrals to dentists electronically. Dentists can't return clearances through any standardized channel. Records don't follow patients between dental offices, let alone reach medical EHRs, payers, or consumer health apps. Everything runs on fax, phone, and X-rays burned to a CD. Conduit changes that.
