About

The Maine Cancer Genomics Initiative (MCGI) is a statewide alliance of oncology providers led by The Jackson Laboratory with funding from the Harold Alfond Foundation™. The initiative supports the delivery of precision cancer care in community settings. MCGI partners with every oncology practice in Maine to expand access to genomic testing, education, and drug access infrastructure. The initiative began in response to limited access to genomic testing for patients and has grown into a model for community-based precision oncology. This work helps clinicians use genomic information to guide treatment decisions and keep care closer to home.
